3rd July 2016Please be wary of posts that do the rounds of social media. Many are simply blocks of texts that can cause no harm (other than be confusing and perhaps scaremonger); for example, a recent one states that Facebook will be charging and you must take X Y Z steps to resolve this – such notices can simply be ignored.
However, some can contain links to malicious websites, outside of the control of Facebook, and these should not be clicked. There are clever ways that people can make links and websites look legitimate, but they are actually masquerading as something different.
